And about the IPL moving to South Africa.. Many ppl have posted their views .. But i personally feel the heat and entertainment has not gone down. East or West.. Ipl rocks. The intensity will never fade out.
Some of the teams, who lost their touch in the previous IPL.. are now coming strongly into the contest this year.Yeah .. Im talking about Kolkata Knight Riders, Deccan Chargers, Royal Challengers and Mumbai Indians as well. So the most powerful men behind these teams need a mention here.
The new man in for the Knight Riders.. Chris Gayle s making waves into this year's IPL. The west-indian has delivered the goods up front with his captain McCullum to support him..and they also have the experienced Dada to feed them in tough situations. Ganguly has also bowled exceptionally well in the recent matches with a new guy Anureet hitting the deck really well and ofcourse we have the tall man Ishant to guide them.
The Deccan Chargers are back with a classic touch into the IPL-2009. Ofcourse when Gilly and Gibsy open their innings.. you can really expect the run rate to soar as high as 12. Gilly has been the man for the Deccan Chargers so far ..also not to forget Gibsy and some good knocks in the form of Rohit Sharma. As far as the Bowling department is considered, Rp Singh gets full credit for his accuracy and swings. He is infact in the list of most wicket takers in IPL 2009 just after Malinga.
Mumbai Indians are really getting tough to beat. When the genius comes in to bat .. You really dont know where to bowl .Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath prove to be their vital wickets. When they hit you hard .. yo can never ever come back into the game, thats for sure. And Abishek Nayar.. what a tournament he has had..His beautiful cuts and marvellous strokes drive you crazy .. Anytime he can turn it for the Mumbai Indians.
Royal Challengers,Bangalore .. One man who had been questioned about his performances and talent,has infact swung it for them. Rahul Dravid has been the man for them until now. The new man in Uthappa has been good. But when Ryder and Ross get their touch back..and with Kp and Dravid to get it going, they form a formidable batting line up. The old fox Kumble had been really really good with his bowling while Praveen Kumar seems to be dangerous in his initial spells.
Delhi Daredevils .. what a team they have been... 2 on 2... Sehwag, Gambhir, AB, Dilshan , Mcgrath , Vettori .. and when you think "what else yo can ask for..??".. they give yo Warner too ... Mind Blowing.. The team to beat others.
The Chennai Super Kings come next with great talented players ... They can be really dangerous once they start hitting.. One of the best line ups i would say... Hayden and parthiv make a great combination.. with Dhoni,Flintoff, Raina, Albie , Badri to follow them. And even this man Gony can get that odd boundary to get the pressure off your shoulders. Balaji and Gony have been too good with their attack and Murali has proved his mettle once again .. and the dhoosra still belongs to him.. Don forget that and come down the track to hit him hard.. you may find your stumps rearranged.
So its now time to choose your favourite teams .. get their jerseys and start supporting your star-studded team. At least this time the cheerleaders have been left alone.. no controversies and stuffs pertaining to them..You do your job and they do their's .. Ha ha...Anyways Chennai, still is the team to watch according to me .. !!
